I am sure you were SHOCKED to see me in a bathrobe when I filmed this week’s Mondays with Julie! The purpose of coming to you in a natural state was that I wanted to share my pyjama day with you and for you to maybe contemplate the same sort of self-indulgence on a semi regular basis.

I Got To Thinking While In The Steam Room…

…how similar life is; you know when you are excited about new possibilities everything is crystal clear and example might be water, then as things get more challenging we become frozen that might be an ice block but then we get excited and generate a bit of momentum that might be the steam! I hear you say … she has lost it!

Not at all my mind just works a little out side the square and if you are feeling a little frustrated or lack some motivation you just need to build a little more steam and get your goals crystallised and then back them up with a plan to execute them.

As you didn’t see in the video I was indulging my self with the new time-wise gel mask I am sure that you and you customers are going to love it.

I had a flying trip to Canberra last weekend and it was lovely to see our beautiful Canberra consultants Lyn Price, Bev Elias and Pia Waldren I then had the please of meeting our newest unit member Candace Beall. I am looking forward to seeing some exciting things happening down south.

This week’s theme is BE, HAVE, DO … hmm what is that all about I hear you ask!

So often we look at super achievers and wonder

• What have they got that I haven’t
• How come they are so talented
• How did they get so lucky
• It is Ok for them
• They have had all the breaks

And the list goes on and on!

What does it take to be a champion in life whether it is in business or in your personal life?

My personal belief is that it is more about … “Who” do we need to be. I guess a great example is Oprah was she born with more opportunity than the average person? Has she had to struggle more than anyone else? Did she have great lots of great connections that she did not have to work for success? Isn’t it funny how so many people who face adversity in their lives achieve the most amazing and outstanding success?

A few years ago I had the honour of meeting a gentleman who’s name is Nick Vujicic you may have heard of Nick as he has been featured on 60 minutes and has a huge following world- wide. I have a photograph of Nick and myself and when I feel things are just a little bit difficult all I need to do is look at Nick and then get on with the task a hand.

Today I was teaching ESRS and it got me to thinking about how blessed my life truly is. When I think back to who I was 29 years and the incredible impact that Mary Kay has had on who I have become. And all the amazing people I have met who have impacted positively on my life.

It all started with a decision to take a risk to step out of my comfort zone.

A decision that I will also understand that has underpinned my success. My point is that some times we need to take that very big step to believing in yourself and your abilities. Today I want you to take that step and BE the person you need to be to move forward to achieving your goals, dreams and desires.

So my question is what do you have to do to become that person?

What are the skills and qualities that you need to acquire to achieve your goals?

I am going to leave you to ponder that until next week.

It has been two weeks since we were together and what a busy two weeks it has been

As you know I have been traveling with a colleague and seeing audiences of up to a thousand. If you have been watching the news over the past week you would have heard about how “The Carnival Splendor” was floating adrift in the ocean after a fire in the engine room.

Keep your fingers crossed that the ship will be repaired and ready to set sail on the 5th of December.  Here is a quick video showing you the ship we will be cruising on.

Wow!!! My week was so amazing and I am going to share that with you next week today I want to share with you what is on my heart and this arose from some conversations that I had during the week. We spent a lot time discussing ” what does it mean to be successful” and “who have been your role models in life?”

I reflected the question and answered I have had many role models in life they have been girlfriends right through to successful business people, but I can honestly say that no one has impacted my life as much as Mary Kay Ash.

I can honestly say that it was a life changing experience becoming a Mary Kay consultant some 27 years ago! During the past 27 years I have had a number of different careers and business’s, if it was not for the skills and confidence that I acquired none of those opportunities would have been possible.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Mary Kay Ash on two occasions once in Australia and the other time was when I attended a Mary Kay seminar in Dallas, I was a guest at her home for a dinner party and it was a magical night one I will always treasure. Mary Kay has given me the best gift that could ever be given she taught me self belief. She encourages us all to be our best, and to reach for the impossible star.

I will always be eternally grateful to Mary Kay for the opportunity she allowed me and millions of other women. Mary Kay over come many circumstances in life that most of us would run from, she had determination, belief and tenacity but most of all faith in herself. Today she is recognised for changing and enriching millions of women’s lives .

Have You Got Big Picture Thinking?

Over the past few weeks I have been showing you a few videos that “Show you the big picture” I was recently speaking to Melissa Britton about how she was enjoying the product videos. She said to me she was blown away by what she saw for her it was WOW” how good are these products and how much she had been under estimating the quality of our products.

I believe we need to have big picture thinking about how good the product is and how powerful the Mary Kay brand is in the marketplace. Go do some window shopping and have a look at how well we are positioned price wise and see how professionally packaged our products are, it may be an eye opener to you. It also may give you inspiration to share both the products and the career opportunity!
